Madame Paulette Statement

Madame Paulette acknowledges the prolonged delay in locating Claudia Li Johnson's wedding dress and the understandable stress this may have caused. We recognize the emotional and personal significance of such an item and sincerely regret the frustration this experience may have caused Ms. Johnson and her family. The delay resulted from the loss of identification information on the preservation box, which hindered timely identification and escalation at the time. We appreciate the opportunity to engage directly with Ms. Johnson and work toward resolving the matter respectfully.

Since the acquisition of the Madame Paulette trademark in 2021, the company has implemented substantial operational and procedural improvements in the tracking and control of each garment in our care. These measures reflect our ongoing commitment to accountability, transparency, and preventing similar situations in the future.

We also wish to address allegations that circulated publicly in connection with this matter. Madame Paulette categorically denies any claims of theft, resale, tampering, or misconduct involving clients' garments. Such allegations are inconsistent with our practices, our values, and our verified records. We remain steadfast in our commitment to treating every garment entrusted to us with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and care.

Last fall, I publicly shared my frustration with a longstanding situation involving my wedding dress and Madame Paulette that had just come to my attention. I am pleased that the issue has now been resolved in a professional and respectful manner. After hearing my frustration, Madame Paulette's team reached out to me to investigate and attempt to remedy the matter. While I was and remain disappointed about how long this issue persisted before I got involved, once I made contact with Madame Paulette's team they were quick to engage and responsive, and I appreciate their efforts. As a result of my dialogue with Madame Paulette, I have removed the videos and postings on my social media about this issue, which went beyond my situation in particular and included information about others' circumstances than I have not independently verified.

As part of our interaction, the Madame Paulette team communicated the various changes that management has made since 2021, when the current ownership team stepped in. These changes sound like meaningful steps in the right direction, and I hope they contribute to positive interactions for and with Madame Paulette's customers. I want nothing but the best experience and memories for other current or former brides who use Madame Paulette's services, and I believe Madame Paulette wants the same.

I brought my dress in on a Monday and they went above and beyond to make sure my dress was ready the next day and even delivered my dress to NJ which is out of their usual delivery zone.
