William Doyle Gallery and Sotheby's
Madame Paulette is called upon to clean and restore custom-made and vintage pieces to be placed at auction. Irreplaceable Pierre Balmain collection from the 1950's and 1960's had suffered extensive water damage and dye staining.
Madame Paulette successfully eradicated "fugitive dyes". Trimmings and panels were removed for restoration and then reattached to the garments. The collections were remarkably returned to their former grandeur. "Before-and-after" photos of this amazing achievement and others are featured on our website.
